RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, a non-profit consumer organization, was founded in 1974 by Barbara Eck Menning, a nurse who personally experienced infertility. Beginning as an effort at Barbara’s kitchen table with a small group of volunteers in Belmont, Massachusetts, RESOLVE grew into the organization it is today.
Today RESOLVE reaches across the nation, bringing hundreds of thousand’s of people it’s services every year. It is the only established, nationwide network of chapters promoting reproductive health and ensuring equal access to family building options to all. It’s mission is to provide support and information to anyone experiencing the pain of infertility. RESOLVE also aims to increase awareness of infertility related issues through education of the public and advocacy.
Thanks to it’s strong network of volunteers, RESOLVE offers the infertile community local support groups, educational programs, opportunities to connect with others, and a wealth of information. The benefits RESOLVE offers it’s members include a telephone hotline, local support groups, newsletters, education meetings, discounts on it’s publications, Family Building magazine which is published quarterly, and advocacy for legislative and insurance reform.
Log onto RESOLVE’s website and you will find a huge variety of information on infertility. You can find information on infertility treatment, getting started with treatment, coping, adoption, childfree living, advocacy, pregnancy and parenting after infertility and much more! Online communities offer support and companionship from those who are going through similar infertility journeys. RESOLVE’s membership information, RESOLVE network, and it’s events calendar are also readily available to you.
